When we started building Bea, our goal was simple: to create a thoughtful space where people struggling with emotional eating could feel understood, supported, and less alone.

Over the past year and a half, we’ve had the privilege of hearing from users who shared their stories, their progress, and their challenges. We were especially grateful to hear how Bea helped many people navigate emotional eating in a way that felt sustainable over time. Those conversations shaped Bea in ways we could never have predicted when we first began.

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the Bea mobile app.

Building and maintaining Bea requires meaningful time and resources. After careful thought, we’ve decided it’s the right moment to close this chapter.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who trusted Bea and made it part of their journey. The ideas and conversations that shaped Bea will continue to live on in the work we care about, and we’re thankful to have built this with such a thoughtful community.

  • After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end Bea. Building a thoughtful, clinically informed product for emotional eating requires significant ongoing resources to scale responsibly. At this stage, we are unable to continue operating the service in the way it deserves.

    We are deeply proud of what Bea has accomplished and grateful to everyone who trusted our app on their journey.

  • Bea will officially sunset on March 31, 2026.

    Until then, the app will remain accessible so users can review their progress and any information they may want to save.

  • Yes, you will continue to have access to your account until the shutdown date. After that time, the service and user accounts will be permanently closed.

  • User privacy and security have always been a top priority for Bea.


    When the service shuts down:

    • User accounts will be deactivated

    • Personal data will be securely deleted according to our privacy policies and applicable regulations

  • Digital health products like Bea require significant investment to maintain the clinical integrity, security, and technological infrastructure users deserve. Despite meaningful progress and strong user feedback, continuing the service long-term was not sustainable.

    We made the decision to close Bea thoughtfully rather than compromise the quality of the experience.

  • All active subscriptions will be cancelled prior to the shutdown date. Users will not be charged after the service closes.

    As a courtesy, we ended auto-charge on every subscription so everyone could continue to use it free of charge until March 31st.
